Dodge Journey

A five-passenger Journey with the new American Value Package (AVP) starts at $18,995, and a seven-passenger model starts at $19,990. The 2012 Journey costs $2,000 less:
The new
Dodge Journey also gets new trim designations for the 2012 model year.

The base AVP trim comes with seven airbags, air conditioning, power accessories, heated power mirrors, a 4.3-inch touch-screen, satellite radio, USB controls and a passive entry system with push-button start. The Crew trim starts at $28,495, and it adds 19-inch wheels, an 8.4-inch touch-screen, leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic temperature controls, security system and remote start. Besides the American Value Package, all other trims see modest price increases. The
2012 Dodge Journey is on sale now.

Dodge showed up late to the midsize crossover SUV segment, finally entering the marketplace with the
Dodge Journey.

Current Dodge Journey
The
Dodge Journey is offered in five trim levels: Express, Mainstreet, Crew, R/T and Lux. A six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control is standard, as is front-wheel drive. Many of the upper trim features can be added to supporting trims along with a sunroof, a 50/50-split third-row seat (increasing the passenger count from five to seven), built-in child booster seats and a rear-seat entertainment system.

In reviews, the
Dodge Journey earned praise for its flexible seating and smooth ride, but drew fire for the underpowered base four-cylinder engine that lacks any significant fuel savings.

2011 Dodge Durango

For 2011, the Dodge Durango has been completely redesigned.
As much as 7,400 pounds can be pulled behind a properly equipped 2011 Durango, a top figure for a large crossover SUV with three rows of seats.
Truly, the Durango's sabbatical has done wonders.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The
2011 Dodge Durango large crossover SUV is available in five trim levels: base Express, sporty Heat, midlevel Crew, performance-themed R/T and top-of-the-line Citadel trim levels.
Standard equipment on the Express includes 18-inch alloy wheels, foglamps, heated sideview mirrors, remote engine start, full power accessories, cruise control, tri-zone automatic climate control (includes separate rear air-conditioning), a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a fold-flat front passenger seat, a 60/40-split-folding and reclining second-row seat, a 50/50-split-folding third-row seat and a six-speaker stereo with a CD player, satellite radio, an auxiliary audio jack and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls.

Antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, trailer sway control, front side and side curtain airbags are standard on every
2011 Dodge Durango. Modern and functional, the 2011 Dodge Durango's cabin has been designed with family-style versatility in mind. Regardless of trim level, the design is attractive and features soft-touch materials in place of the former Durango's hard, cheap plastics.

2011 Dodge Durango can carry up to 84.5 cubic feet of cargo.

2011 Dodge Charger

The 2011 Dodge Charger receives a number of significant upgrades, including freshened styling, higher-quality interior materials, an all-new and more powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine, a retuned suspension, electric-assist power steering, more standard features and a new electronic interface.

Introduction
The
2011 Dodge Charger is a good example. The most noticeable change regards the Charger's new exterior styling.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The
2011 Dodge Charger is a large sedan that's offered in two basic trim levels: SE and R/T. Entry-level SE models are rear-wheel-drive only, while the R/T can be had with a choice of rear- or all-wheel drive.

The R/T model comes with a V8 engine, a performance-tuned suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels (19-inch on AWD models), xenon headlights, foglights and a rear spoiler (RWD models only). Inside there's automatic dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth and a premium Alpine sound system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, voice control and satellite radio.

2011 Dodge Caliber

Receives improved steering feel, additional functions for the navigation system and standard stability control for most trim levels.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The
2011 Dodge Caliber is a compact four-door hatchback offered in five trim levels. The Uptown model gets you rear disc brakes (versus drums), automatic climate control, leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats and a premium nine-speaker Boston Acoustics audio system with steering-wheel-mounted controls and flip-down speakers in the liftgate.

Building on the Caliber Heat is the Rush, which adds a larger 2.4-liter engine, 18-inch chrome-clad alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, automatic The
2011 Dodge Caliber climate control, leather upholstery and a premium audio system with a touchscreen interface and 30-gigabyte hard drive.

The front-wheel-drive 2011 Dodge Caliber is offered with a choice of two different four-cylinder engines. A 2.0-liter engine rated at 158 horsepower and 141 pound-feet of torque is standard on all trim levels except the Rush. The 2.0-liter engine returns EPA estimates of 24 mpg city/32 mpg highway and 27 mpg combined with the manual transmission, and 23/27/24 mpg with the CVT.

Safety
Standard safety features for the
2011 Caliber include a driver-side knee airbag, side curtain airbags, active front head restraints and antilock brakes (rear drums for the Express and Mainstreet, four-wheel discs for the other trims). Front-seat side airbags are offered as options for all but the Express trim.

Among competing hatchbacks and crossovers, the 2011 Dodge Caliber's interior ranks midpack. One word to describe how the
2011 Dodge Caliber drives: mediocre.

2011 Dodge Avenger

The 2011 Dodge Avenger receives a number of updates this year, including updated exterior styling, a revamped interior with higher-quality materials, added safety features and a more powerful 3.6-liter V6.

Completely reworked suspension and steering components make the Avenger much more satisfying to drive as well.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The 2
011 Dodge Avenger is a midsize sedan that is offered in five trim levels: Express, Mainstreet, Heat and Lux.
The Avenger Mainstreet adds alloy wheels, heated outside mirrors, automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power driver seat and a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio. Most of the features from higher-trimmed Avengers are available on the other versions as options.

The
2011 Dodge Avenger is offered with either a four- or six-cylinder engine. The base 2.4-liter inline-4 is the only available choice for the Express and Mainstreet models and is standard on the Lux. This engine produces 173 hp and 166 pound-feet of torque. Fuel economy estimates for the four-cylinder Avenger stand at 21 mpg city/30 mpg highway and 24 mpg combined with the four-speed automatic and 20 city/31 highway and 24 combined with the six-speed automatic.
A six-speed automatic is the only available transmission for this engine.

Safety
Standard safety features for all
2011 Dodge Avengers include antilock brakes with brake assist, active front head restraints, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, hill start assist, stability control and traction control.

2011 Dodge Dakota

The 2011 Dodge Dakota gains a couple of important safety features, namely antilock brakes and side curtain airbags, on its list of standard features. The 2011 Dodge Dakota is a midsize pickup truck that's offered as either an extended cab or crew cab.

Extended-cab models feature a 6.4-foot cargo bed, while crew cab models are fitted with a 5.3-foot bed. The Big Horn adds 17-inch alloy wheels, body-colored bumpers and front fascia, a rear under-seat storage system (crew cab models only), keyless entry, full power accessories and cruise control (optional on ST).

The Big Horn and Laramie extended cabs can also be equipped with a front bench seat in place of the standard buckets. Every 2011 Dodge Dakota is powered by a standard 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 210 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque.

Rear-wheel drive is standard on all Dakotas, with four-wheel drive being available as an option. Fuel economy registers an EPA-estimated 15 mpg city/20 mpg highway and 17 mpg combined for rear-wheel-drive models, and 14/18/15 mpg for 4WD versions. In performance testing, a 4WD Dakota Laramie crew cab with the V8 accelerated from zero to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds. When properly equipped, a V8 Dakota can tow up to 7,250 pounds.

Safety
This year the 2011 Dodge Dakota gets four-wheel antilock brakes and side curtain airbags. In Edmunds brake testing, a 4WD Dakota Laramie crew cab came to a stop from 60 mph in 126 feet -- a good distance for a pickup.

In Insurance Institute for Highway Safety frontal-offset crash tests, the extended cab got a second-best "Acceptable" rating while the crew cab Dakota earned a top "Good" rating.

Interior Design and Special Features
The standard bucket seats are very comfortable, while the available power seats offer a wealth of adjustability.

2012 Dodge Grand Caravan

The Grand Caravan's most important feature, both from a usability stand-point and competitive stand-point, is that this van features Stow'n Go seats.

Standard safety features include traction control, stability control and antilock brakes with brake assist

Ram Truck brand announced today that the first
2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, or Ram C/V, has left Chrysler's Windsor Assembly Plant.
The gross combined weight rating is 8,750 pounds.

Dodge Grand Caravan spawns commercial minivan
The 2012, Ram Cargo Van, or Ram C/V, offers small businesses a Class 1 commercial vehicle-leading 1,800-lb. cargo payload and category-exclusive 3,600-lb. towing capability, thanks to a commercial-tuned, heavy duty suspension.

The Ram C/V (Cargo Van) is far more than just a rebadged version of the current production Chrysler Town & Country or
Dodge Grand Caravan – although the new Ram minivan benefits from over 25 years of gradual improvement to these vehicles.
Also, the stance of the new Ram brand minivan differs from that seen on the Dodge and Chrysler models thanks to the heavy duty suspension setup.

Inside, a solid flat metal floor makes loading and unloading easy and for those who want more storage space and less loading ease, Ram offers different floor designs that include stow-n-go type in-floor storage.

Dodge Caliber

Also, expect the CVT to be dropped for either a conventional autobox or Fiat's automated manual transmission.

People will remember the
Dodge Caliber for a few good hits, including a powerful SRT-4 version, liftgate-integrated MusicGate speakers, illuminated cupholders and removable flashlight.

The Dodge Caliber is one of the unfortunate models from
Dodge Caliber which didn’t have the expected success on the market. It is worth mentioning that the Caliber was the first Chrysler model to use electromagnetically controlled all wheel drive with variable torque output. After pulling the plug on the Caliber, Chrysler is expected to release a new Dodge compact during 2012.

The new model will be fitted with a turbocharged Fiat 1.4-liter engine.

Chrysler had a real hit on its hands (at least initially) when it launched the Neon in 1994. The Caliber, however, has been less of a market success.

In replacing the ubiquitous Neon in 2006, Dodge went with a pseudo-SUV shape to create a more rugged aesthetic on the
Dodge Caliber.

It's also roomy and inexpensive, and it boasts an available continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Current Dodge Caliber
Built on a global platform also used for the Jeep Compass SUV and midsize Dodge Avenger sedan, the tall-bodied
Dodge Caliber comes only as a compact hatchback/wagon. The Caliber comes in five so-called "lifestyle" trim levels -- Express, Mainstreet, Uptown, Heat and Rush. A five-speed manual and continuously variable transmission (CVT) are available.
The Caliber's interior has been greatly improved from its horrible previous iteration.

Used Dodge Caliber Models
The
Dodge Caliber debuted in 2006 as a 2007 model. At the bottom of the ladder was a 148-hp 1.8-liter inline-4, which came standard on the base Caliber and the SXT. The R/T model was equipped with the current Rush trim's 2.4-liter inline-4. There was a high-performance Caliber SRT-4 produced for 2008 and '09. Aside from its big engine, it got 19-inch wheels, lowered suspension, upgraded brakes, a performance trip computer and sport seats. A key change to the Caliber occurred for 2010, as Dodge addressed the rather deplorable interior quality previously found in the Caliber.

2001 Dodge Ram Pickup

The 2001 Dodge Ram It drives and rides well with quick steering and excellent brakes.Like the other domestic pickups, it offers a wide range of engine choices and an even wider range of cab and bed configurations.

Electronic cruise control is now offered for the Cummings turbodiesel models with a manual transmission, improved braking systems with standard ABS come on all 2500 and 3500 Rams, two new exterior colors debut, and child seat anchors are mounted on the rear of the cab. A high-output Cummings turbodiesel model, with a six-speed transmission, 245 horsepower and 505 ft-lbs. of torque, is offered in addition to a slightly improved 235-horsepower/460 ft-lbs. version, available with a manual or automatic tranny.

We've heard that 2002 will bring an aluminum-block 3.7-liter V6 based on the popular Grand Cherokee 4.7-liter V8, and there's also talk of 5.7-liter and 6.1-liter V8s.

With the Quad Cab, rear-access doors on either side of the cab make that easier, yet they're not separate full-size doors like on the new Dakota Quad Cab.
Dodge Ram is well aware of the Ram's capabilities, so much so that they offer a Ram Off-Road 4x4 model specifically for challenging Mother Nature.

It drives and rides well with quick steering and excellent brakes. Like the other domestic pickups, it offers a wide range of engine choices and an even wider range of cab and bed configurations.
For
Dodge Ram, there's a new high-output diesel engine available.

2011 Dodge Challenger Reviews

All Challengers benefit from extensive changes made to the suspension, steering and brakes, resulting in a more rewarding car to drive. Having said that, you can't ignore the Challenger's competitors.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The
2011 Dodge Challenger is a five-seat coupe available in three trim levels that each correspond to a different engine: SE, R/T and SRT8 392. Standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, remote ignition (requires the automatic transmission), full power accessories, cruise control, automatic climate control, rear A/C outlets, a tilt-and-telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, an eight-way power driver seat with manual lumbar adjustment, a 60/40-split-folding rear seat, a trip computer and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player and auxiliary audio jack.

The Rallye package includes those features plus automatic headlamps, foglamps, leather upholstery, heated front seats and a six-speaker Boston Acoustics sound system. The Super Sport Group adds 20-inch chrome-clad wheels and performance-tuned suspension, brakes and steering.

The Challenger R/T gets a V8 engine, automatic headlamps, foglamps, heated mirrors, the SE's Connectivity Group and all of the SE's Super Sport Group equipment minus the wheels. The R/T Plus package adds 20-inch chrome-clad wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats and the Boston Acoustics system. The Challenger SRT8 392 gets all the R/T's basic equipment, but adds xenon headlamps, unique 20-inch wheels, sport seats, an upgraded trip computer with real-time performance data, hydraulic power steering (versus electrohydraulic), upgraded brakes and suspension, and a one-day driver training course at the Richard Petty Racing School. The Track Pak adds a six-speed manual transmission. The regular Challenger's Sound Group II and both navigation systems are also available.

The
2011 Dodge Challenger SE is powered by a new 3.6-liter V6 that produces 305 hp and 268 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed automatic is standard. The Challenger SRT8 392 gets a 6.4-liter V8 that produces 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. In Edmunds testing, an automatic-equipped SRT8 392 went from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

Every 2
011 Dodge Challenger comes standard with antilock disc brakes (size and power differs based on trim and certain option packages), stability and traction control, active front head restraints, front side airbags and side curtain airbags. Unlike the Dodge Challenger's distinctive-looking exterior, the interior is quite bland.

Dodge Pickup 3500 Reviews

Plenty of people want pickup trucks.

Current Dodge Ram 3500
The current
Dodge Ram 3500 heavy-duty pickup is available in three cab styles: regular, Crew Cab (with four forward-opening doors) and Mega Cab (jumbo crew cab). With the exception of Crew Cab short beds, all Ram 3500s have a dual-rear-wheel axle.
The 2010 Ram 3500 is available with either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. We're fond of the Dodge Ram 3500's powerful diesel engine, available manual transmission and wide range of body styles.

Used Dodge Ram 3500 Models
The current fourth-generation Ram 3500 debuted for 2010. Compared to the previous Ram 3500, the current generation has revised styling, a more upscale interior, a retuned suspension and the new Crew Cab, which replaced the previous generation's Quad Cab body style.

The third-generation Dodge
Ram 3500 was produced from 2003-'09. Only the regular and Quad Cab (crew cab) body styles were available initially; the Mega Cab (really big crew cab) squeezed into the lineup in 2006. The Mega Cab was only available with the short bed, while the regular cab was only equipped with the long bed. The Quad Cab was offered with either and -- unlike the previous generation -- featured forward-hinged rear doors.

The short-bed Quad Cab was the only 3500 model available with a single rear axle; the rest had dual-wheel rear axles. The second-generation
Dodge Ram 3500 was produced from 1994-2002. The base engine was a 5.2-liter V8 engine, with an 8.0-liter V10 or 5.9-liter Cummins turbodiesel optional.

Dodge Viper,Reviews

The Dodge Viper was conceived as a modern interpretation of the classic muscular American sports car. Minor concessions to "luxury" appeared in the second-generation Viper roadster, such as real windows that replaced the clear vinyl side curtains, but Viper fans had nothing to fear, as Dodge's top-dog sports car remained obnoxiously loud and fast.

The second-generation Dodge Viper saw the SRT-10 roadster become a true convertible with a folding top. The Viper SRT-10 coupe returned a few years later featuring the previous coupe's "double bubble" roof and dramatic rear styling.

Current Dodge Viper

The
Dodge Viper is offered as a two-seat coupe or roadster. Performance numbers are otherworldly, as the Viper can reach 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. Though modern cars are increasingly equipped with the latest safety features, the Viper remains true to its visceral roots. Fresh off the showroom floor, the Dodge Viper is one of the fastest production cars in the world.

Used Dodge Viper Models
The current second-generation
Dodge Viper has been available since 2003. The original Dodge Viper debuted for the 1992 model year. In 1999 the Viper received bigger wheels, optional Connolly leather inside, power mirrors and a remote release for the coupe's glass hatch. A track-biased Viper ACR trim level also became available that year.

Dodge Grand Caravan,Reviews

The Dodge Grand Caravan is an elongated version of the now-defunct Caravan, America's original minivan and one of Dodge's biggest success stories in recent decades.

In other respects, though, the Dodge Grand Caravan's performance has been less impressive.
Current Dodge Grand Caravan The Dodge Grand Caravan minivan can seat up to seven passengers and is offered in five trim levels: C/V, Express, Mainstreet, Crew and R/T.

The Mainstreet trim adds alloy wheels and power second row and rear windows.
Used Dodge Grand Caravan Models The current van represents the fifth-generation Dodge Grand Caravann that debuted for 2008. For 2009 Dodge added standard Stow 'n Go seating and SXT options like a dedicated iPod interface, a blind-spot monitoring system and the Rear Cross Path system.
Swivel 'n Go seats, however, were discontinued.

Th
e Dodge Grand Caravan is also available in four previous generations. The fourth-generation Grand Caravan's engine lineup included a 180-hp 3.3-liter V6 and a more powerful 215-hp 3.8-liter V6. The top-of-the-line trim level offered Stow 'n Go fold-flat seating, dual power-sliding doors, a separate rear heating and air-conditioning system, a power driver seat, 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and powered accessories.

Early fourth-gen Grand Caravans were available with all-wheel drive, but AWD capability was discontinued in 2005 to make room for the versatile, under-floor Stow 'n Go fold-flat seating system in premium models.
The third-generation Dodge Grand Caravan featured a then-rare driver-side sliding door and unique "Easy Out" rollers on the center and rear seats to aid removal.

Dodge offered several Grand Caravan trim levels to suit different budgets and desires, and dual front airbags and antilock brakes were standard.
Introduced in 1987 as a long-wheelbase complement to the original Caravan, the Dodge Grand Caravan received its first major overhaul in 1991.
