Mazda Mx-5(Sports Car),Reviews

The plan to return the Mazda Mx-5(Sports Car)Miata to its roots with a serious weight-saving scheme is nothing new. Nor is the plan to fit it with a tremendously efficient SkyActiv engine. Crediting a "senior insider" at Mazda, InsideLine says the engineering team behind the next-gen MX-5 has a goal of cutting 720 pounds from the car's current 2,480-pound curb weight. That would bring the total down to just 1,760 pounds--lighter than a Lotus Elise--or more than 400 pounds lighter than the original 1989 Miata.

The next generation Mazda Mx-5(Sports Car) is anticipated to be the lightest model ever, reportedly even undercutting the original 1989 MX-5′s weight (940kg) by more than 100kg.

Mazda Mx-5(Sports Car) recently announced its new SkyActiv design philosophy which places substantial focus on reducing every model’s overall weight – it has already managed to cut up to 100kg from a range of its passenger models.

We love the Mazda Miata. We love the Mazda Miata.

The Miata's charm lies in its simplicity, purity, and honesty. It is not a fast car, but it is a fun car.

Since Mazda Mx-5(Sports Car) little legend is all about the fundamentals, we've stuck to the basics with our car. That means a manual folding soft top, no satellite radio, no power door locks, and no cruise control. There's no stability control, either. A car this poised has no need for driver aids.
