2012 Kia Ray

It's not quite as sleek as the company's Kia Ray plug-in hybrid concept, but Kia's new Ray city car could be a preview for another forward-thinking technology: the upcoming "TAM" electric car.

This week's Ray preview comes with zero technical details - a hint in itself.

Lastly, Kia's electric car is scheduled to make its debut before the year is out.

Kia Ray features a simple, modern silhouette and distinctive exterior, plus maximized interior space for both passengers and cargo.

In profile, Kia Ray's unique side glass configuration enhances the vehicle's individualistic aesthetic appeal.

From the rear, Kia Ray presents a wide and stable stance, highlighted by prominent LED rear combination lamps and vertically positioned bumper reflectors.

Externally, the boxy Ray city car features the firm’s signature chrome-rimmed radiator grille. For ease of entry, the Ray also features a rear sliding door on the passenger side; a conventional rear door is used on the driver’s side.
