2013 Volkswagen Passat CC

Without a doubt, the big story from Volkswagen this year was the launch of its all-new, American-built 2012 Passat. Up front, bi-xenon headlamps with LED running lamps are now offered as standard equipment – part of the CC's reworked nose that incorporates a new grille and lower fascia.

The one interior photo that VW released looks almost identical to the current model, though we won't rule out some packaging or color combination changes.

That means the car’s about due for an obligatory mid-cycle refresh, a refresh that’s been revealed today ahead of its debut in just two weeks’ time at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Volkswagen is still a bit vague on the rest of the changes, though we suspect the trim lines and engine options should remain much the same. Expect the current model’s 2.0-liter TSI and 3.6-liter V-6 options to carry over.

New Volkswagen Touareg

The Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid has a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain and it replaces the previous V8 petrol model as the top-of-the-line Touareg.

With hybrid drive, there is no performance deficit - the supercharged 3.0-litre petrol engine works with an electric motor to produce the power of an eight-cylinder engine while providing the fuel economy of a six- or four- cylinder unit. Combined with the E-motor electric motor's 46hp, the total system output is 380hp and total maximum torque surges to 580Nm.

The big Hybrid literally zips along when the accelerator pedal is floored. The performance advantage is clear despite the Touareg Hybrid weighing in at 2,240kg, or 205kg heavier than the 3.6-litre V6 petrol version.

The SUV employs a parallel hybrid drive configuration, which essentially means the Touareg can be powered by either engine or motor alone if required, and hence is more efficient for expressway driving. This eliminates drag torque losses and boosts fuel economy significantly.

Each trim line offers two different engines: a 3.6-liter 280 horsepower V6 and a 3.0-liter 225 horsepower V6 turbo diesel. The fuel economy of these engines is 16-mpg city and 23-mpg highway and 19-mpg city and 28-mpg, respectively.

The
2012 Volkswagen Touareg V6 Executive has an MSRP of a whopping $54,255 with standard leather seats, heated rear seats, 10-speakers, power tinted panoramic sunroof, and 20” wheels. VW also offers the Touareg Supercharged Hybrid, a model that blends performance and fuel-efficiency. The Touareg is a safe and secure SUV. It offers standard engine braking assist, hill descent assist, and anti-intrusion side door beams.

Volkswagen Golf,Reviews

The 2011 Volkswagen Golf is built on the same basic platform as the earlier Volkswagen Golf, a high-quality, highly rigid chassis. 2011 Volkswagen Golf dimensions prove it is no small car.
The Turbo’s rear spoiler pops up at speed and is designed to maintain rear-end stability in high-speed corners.

2011 Volkswagen Golf is easy to drive and operate. The 2011 2011 Volkswagen Golf is quieter than truck-based SUVs both in engine and road noise.
Several technologies come standard that improve the driver’s ability to control The 2011 Volkswagen Golf in emergency maneuvers: electronic brake force distribution, active traction control, and vehicle skid control. Electronic brake force distribution (EBD) evenly distributes the braking force to the front and rear wheels. This reduces stopping distances. A brake assist function has been developed to help drivers who may not be depressing the brake pedal hard enough in an emergency braking situation.

Current Volkswagen Golf
The Volkswagen Golf is a compact hatchback available in a two- or four-door body style. Regardless of body style, the base Golf is powered by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower. The Golf TDI model features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel that produces 140 hp and a robust 236 pound-feet of torque. Regarding the Golf's current lineup, we strongly recommend the TDI model because of its higher level of equipment, strong engine and superior fuel economy. There is also a high-performance version of the Golf known as the GTI.

Used Volkswagen Golf Models
The Volkswagen Golf name returned for 2010, marking the first year for the redesigned sixth-generation model. Enjoyable to drive thanks to its responsive chassis, this Golf also offered a variety of engines. Golf TDI models sold from 2004-'06 had an updated version of the 1.9-liter that delivered 100 hp. Late in the model run, the limited-edition high-performance R32 was offered, sporting a 3.2-liter 240-hp VR6, all-wheel drive and tasteful body accents; it was sold only as a 2004 model.

The 115-hp 2.0-liter inline-4 was the volume engine, while the GTI offered the VR6, a narrow-angle 2.8-liter V6 that provided a thrilling 172 hp. Golf TDI models were offered intermittently during this generation, as VW had difficulty getting its 90-hp turbodiesel four-cylinder to meet U.S. emissions regulations. Although fun to drive, this generation of the Volkswagen Golf was notorious for spotty electrical problems. Power ranged from a 1.6-liter, 52-hp diesel to a 2.0-liter, 131-hp 16-valve inline-4 as seen in the GTI. Most Golfs from this era had a 1.8-liter four-cylinder.

Volkswagen CC,Review

The Volkswagen CC It gets vote as the best-looking car in this category, and one of the nicest-looking cars on the road, period. This latter model is powered by a 280-horsepower, 3.6-litre V-6 and has VW’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive, while the other two use a turbocharged/intercooled 2.0-litre fou- cylinder that develops 200 horsepower.

It can be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, and in this configuration, has VW’s Tiptronic manual shift feature as well, which allows you to change gears via steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles. My Highline version featured all-leather seats and tasteful brushed aluminum trim. I just need more head space, man. Needless to say, standard equipment level is high, and the
Volkswagen CC comes with things like cruise control, electronic parking brake, heated front seats (three settings!), rain-sensing wipers, a stability control system and Sirius satellite radio. For the Highline model, add 18-inch wheels and tires (up from 17-inchers), climate control, vented sunroof and 12 power adjustments on the front seats.

My tester also had a couple of options: navigation system with rear-view camera, and VW’s R-Line package, which includes upgraded alloy wheels and various exterior bits and pieces.

2012 Volkswagen Beetle New

The 2012 Volkswagen Beetle will be fully redesigned.

Introduction
Then there was the vehicle sequel, the 1998 New Beetle. Now for 2012 Volkswagen Beetle, there's finally a new Beetle to replace the New Beetle, though it will just be called the Beetle. With the 2012 Beetle, Volkswagen has taken a cautious approach in terms of design. The new Beetle coupe is 3.3 inches wider and 6 inches longer than the outgoing model. Inside, VW has drawn upon elements from the original Beetle, such as incorporating two gloveboxes.

The 2012 Volkswagen Beetle will first be available in the limited-edition Black Turbo launch edition model, which features the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine matched to VW's dual-clutch automated manual transmission. Later in the model year the Beetle TDI will debut, boasting VW's clean and thrifty (estimated at 40 mpg for highway fuel mileage) 140-hp turbodiesel engine.
Our cover story on the Beetle is here.

2012 Volkswagen Beetle | Beetle through history
Conventional auto industry wisdom, like it or not, is that -- at least in America -- you can sell girls a boys' car, but you can't sell boys a girls' car. It's a bit like the belief also held in the industry that you can sell an old man a young man's car, but you can't sell a young man an old man's car.

The 2012 Volkswagen Beetle is bigger by a notable amount: 168.4 inches long, up 6 inches; 71.2 inhes wide, an increase of 3.3 inches.
The engine lineup:
Base: 2.5-liter, five-cylinder gasoline vs. 1.8-liter four in last model. Expected mpg ratings: 22 city, 31 highway (manual transmission) 22/29 (automatic).
Coming later as option: 2-liter turbo-diesel, 140 hp, 236 lbs.-ft. Mpg: 29/40/33.
Somewhat confusingly, VW also proposes the Mini Cooper as a possible Beetle rival -- and the Mini's isn't cheap.

Volkswagen Eos 2012 (Convertible),Reviews

Volkswagen Eos 2012

Today, most small, moderately priced convertibles have retractable tops. The hard top also keeps out noise.

One drawback: The retractable top encroaches on trunk space when it is folded, leaving room for only a couple of small bags.

Getting into the back seat is aided by sliding the front seats forward.

The Eos is powered by VW’s 200-horsepower, turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, mated to the excellent Direct-Shift Gearbox. The Eos comes in Komfort, Lux and Executive trim levels. I drove a Komfort.

The Eos has front, side and side-curtain airbags. Price
The base price of the test car was $33,995. Warranty
