2000 jeep cherokee,Reviews

Think of the 2000 jeep cherokee as a staid, grown-up version of the Wrangler. We strongly recommend the full time four wheel drive system; it made the vehicle sure-footed, and unlike the part-time system (also included for off-roaders), only intruded with a slight increase in noise and a heavier feel to the steering wheel. (Warning: four wheel drive does not affect the brakes! Generally, the 2000 jeep cherokee is not pretentious, but it is well designed.

The
2000 jeep cherokee is inexpensive by SUV standards; ours, fully optioned, was $27,350, but the base price of the Classic was $23,000, including the six cylinder engine and automatic transmission (both options). Gas mileage is not as bad as with competing vehicles, the engine is responsive, and the spare tire is kept inside, where it is easily accessible.

Squareness does not hurt the
2000 jeep cherokee at all, if wind noise and sales are any indication. Though you drive up high, the 2000 jeep cherokee provides good visibility on all sides, and effective windshield wipers keep the windows free and clear.

The
2000 Cherokee scores the '99 Grand Cherokee's redesigned 4.0-liter PowerTech inline six in addition to a new five-speed manual transmission. The Limited model sports bright chrome accents, including the front grille, the headlamp surrounds, the side graphics, the rear license-plate brow and the 16-inch wheels.

Reviews

Some things never change and the
2000 jeep cherokee is one of those mainstays. Not that we fear change--we fear aerodynamic-based change. Watch for the hip-to-be-square Cherokee to go rounded, seriously rounded, soon. A radio/cassette combo is standard, and both the Classic and Limited versions have cast aluminum wheels.

Cadillac ATS,Reviews

GM also released a sketch of the compact rear-wheel drive sports car. It's smaller than Cadillac's popular CTS, also made at Lansing Grand River.

About 1,000 hourly and salaried employees work at the plant. The ATS is designed to compete with foreign automakers' compact luxury cars, including the BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4.

Cadillac ATS also is launching a large front-wheel drive sedan called the XTS in spring 2012.

Along with that exciting announcement, the upmarket GM division also released this teaser image previewing the new ATS. Eventually, coupe and convertiblemodels could be launched to better align the ATS range with its intended rivals. A high-performance ATS-V model is a given, also.

In terms of styling, the prototype confirms Cadillac'S ATS designers are sticking with the brand’s ‘Art and Science’ design language, with plenty of influences from the CTS evident in this teaser.

Cadillac announced today that it will launch two new models next year starting with the XTS full-size sedan in the spring of 2012 and the Cadillac ATS compact sedan in the summer.

2011 BMW X6,Reviews

Case in point: the 2011 BMW X6. Even the odd BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo makes more practical sense.

The 2011 BMW X6 is a four-seat SUV available in two trim styles that correspond to engine: xDrive35i and xDrive50i. The term xDrive refers to its standard all-wheel-drive system. Standard equipment on the X6 xDrive35i includes 19-inch wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a power tailgate, a sunroof, automatic and adaptive bi-xenon headlights, foglights, automatic wipers, cruise control, 10-way power front seats, driver memory functions, leather upholstery, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, the iDrive electronics interface and a 10-speaker sound system with CD player, auxiliary audio jack and HD radio. Aside from its twin-turbo V8, the xDrive50i adds 14-way "multicontour" front seats, BMW Assist emergency telematics, Bluetooth and a navigation system with voice controls and real-time traffic. The Cold Weather package adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and retractable headlight washers. The Active Ventilated Seat package adds automatically adjusting driver seat bolsters, ventilated seats and perforated leather upholstery. The Rear Climate package adds four-zone climate control, tinted glass and manual rear side window shades.

The xDrive50i can be further equipped with a multiview parking camera and sport seats.
Powertrains and Performance The 2011 BMW X6 xDrive35i is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 that produces 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. As with the xDrive50i, an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard. EPA-estimated fuel economy stands at 13 mpg city/18 mpg highway and 15 mpg combined.

Standard safety features on the 2011 BMW X6 include antilock disc brakes, stability control, traction control, hill descent control, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags and active front head restraints.

Also included is BMW's advanced Dynamic Performance Control (DPC) that greatly enhances directional stability and traction by redirecting power to individual wheels. BMW Assist emergency telematics are optional.
