2013 Ford Fusion

2013 Ford Fusion
The All-new Ford Fusion brings alive the next generation of more expressive vehicles from Ford and is the first sedan to offer gasoline, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions - each expected to deliver top fuel economy and an engaging driving experience.

This car is the result."
Ford Fusion is revealed in North America in S, SE and range-topping Titanium series and points to the next Ford Mondeo for world markets.

Triple-crown fuel efficiency
Ford Fusion brings the broadest selection of fuel-efficient powertrains in the midsize car segment. Ford Fusion Hybrid also features an all-new 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gasoline engine, significantly downsized from the previous 2.5-liter unit while maintaining performance standards. Ford Fusion Hybrid fuel economy stands to outperform the 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid by 4 mpg city and 5 mpg highway and the 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid by 12 mpg and 4 mpg, respectively.

Topping the fuel-efficiency ladder is the Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid, aiming to be the most fuel-efficient midsize car in the world. The next-generation Fusion 1.6-liter is the first automatic-transmission Ford product offered with an automatic start stop system. It shuts off engine power smoothly when the car is stopped and seamlessly restarts as the driver releases the brake pedal, helping Fusion to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by approximately 3.5 percent.

Ford Fusion looks out for you
Ford Fusion can help drivers maintain proper lane position, adjust vehicle speed to changing traffic conditions, identify suitable parking spaces and help park, even aiding drivers backing out of parking space where visibility is obstructed.

• Lane Keeping System: This class-exclusive technology consists of three elements to help a driver maintain proper lane position. The second element warns a driver with a steering wheel vibration if the Fusion drifts too close to lane markings. Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) with cross-traffic alert: Sensors in both Fusion rear quarter-panels are able to detect traffic in a driver's blind spot, providing both audible and visual warnings if traffic - unseen by the driver - is detected.

The all-new Fusion offers the latest iteration of Ford's award-winning, industry-exclusive SYNC® communications and entertainment system, which enables voice-activated communication through a driver's mobile phone and interaction with the car's audio system.

New face: Fusion signals the next evolution in Ford global design language for midsize cars and smaller
Inside, the new Fusion offers a sporty, driver-oriented environment with next-generation seating that brings expanded functionality. Ford Fusion design delivers on the promise of high visual quality, with improved materials, elevated levels of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energi models also are equipped with active noise control. Fusion is designed with customer safety in mind.

2013 Seat Ibiza

2013 Seat Ibiza
The new SEAT Ibiza features a more dramatic – or as SEAT says more emotional – design with a more pronounced trapezoidal grille, featuring the SEAT logo, new honeycomb structure of the grille and the lower air intake.

The new line-up offers enormous breadth to meet every individual demand - from the compact and sporty three-door Ibiza SC, to the dynamic and universal five-door Ibiza, to the elegantly practical Ibiza ST estate car; from the extremely efficient Ibiza E-Ecomotive with 89 grams of CO2/km to the exceptionally sporty Ibiza FR with 110 kW (150 hp). Market introduction of the new Ibiza is scheduled for spring 2012.

"The Ibiza is an important foundation of our brand. The introduction of SEAT's Portable Media System will come later in 2012.

"The new Ibiza is a clear showcase for SEAT's technical expertise. Emotional design, a thrilling drive and an exceptionally high quality standard deliver an extremely distinctive product character - and now with improved functionality.

The SEAT Ibiza is the sportiest and most versatile offering in its competitive field," says Dr. Matthias Rabe, Executive Vice President for Research and Development at SEAT, S.A.

Sporty character and high product quality are written all over the new Ibiza's face - SEAT Design stands for technology and precision, as well as for youthful avant garde and the sheer joy of life.

The sophisticated design of the headlamps bears testament to the enormous attention afforded by SEAT to the details. The edgy style of the lamps is a hallmark feature of the new SEAT design language, while being perfectly integrated into the Ibiza's sculptural form.

"The new-generation Ibiza fits perfectly into the SEAT brand identity. The estate bodyshell of the Ibiza ST offers a very high degree of functionality.

110 kW (150 hp) and the standard-fit DSG transmission catapult the SEAT Ibiza to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds, and onwards to an impressive top speed of 212 km/h. In the new Ibiza, this power unit is now also available for the ST estate version. The efficiency highlight is the SEAT Ibiza 1.2 TDI E-Ecomotive, also with a start/stop system.

The sporty pinnacle of the Ibiza diesel line-up is the 2.0 TDI with 105 kW (143 hp). The new SEAT Ibiza runs on wheels ranging in size from 15 to 17 inches and sporting a new design.

The equipment lines of the Ibiza range have also been revised, independent of bodyshell form. The Ibiza FR sets particularly sporty accents with accentuated design elements front and rear, alloy wheels and a leather-clad steering wheel. Naturally, the super-sporty top model in the Ibiza line-up will also have a successor.

2013 Cadillac ATS

2013 Cadillac ATS
Cadillac introduced the 2013 ATS, an all-new compact luxury sports sedan intended to challenge the world's best premium cars.

The rear-drive ATS brings Cadillac's blend of technologically driven performance, elegance and design to a new audience of spirited drivers. The Cadillac ATS is a new expression of Cadillac's Art & Science execution philosophy, built on a foundation of driving dynamics and mass efficiency.

designs
A multi-link double-pivot MacPherson-strut front suspension with direct-acting stabilizer bar
Driver-adjustable FE3 sport suspension with Magnetic Ride Control real-time damping
Premium (belt driven) electric variable-effort steering gear from ZF Steering Systems
Four-channel ABS with available Brembo performance brakes
Available all-wheel drive
Cadillac ATS will offer both manual and automatic transmission options, along with rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations.
The Cadillac ATS will deliver peak highway fuel economy of more than 30 mpg.

"Low weight gives the Cadillac ATS a more nimble and controllable feel, while also optimizing the performance and efficiency of the powertrains," said David Masch, ATS chief engineer.

This helps offset the weight of the engine and transmission at the front of the vehicle, helping the Cadillac ATS deliver its near-perfect 50/50 weight balance, while also contributing to lower noise and vibration. Seventeen-inch wheels are standard and 18-inch wheels are available.

CUE and ATS technologies
The ATS is offered with Cadillac CUE, a comprehensive, in-vehicle experience that merges intuitive design with auto industry-first controls and commands for information and entertainment data. The Cadillac ATS is offered as a well-equipped standard model and in Luxury, Performance and Premium Collections.

Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control
Intelligent Brake Assist
The advanced technology safety features complement the Cadillac ATS's roster of other safety features, including eight standard air bags (10 with optional features), safety belt pretensioners and load limiters, StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with traction control and four-wheel disc brakes with four-channel ABS.

2013 Cadillac ATS also features OnStar standard for one year.
ATS Delivers New Levels of Control and Refinement
The 2013 Cadillac ATS delivers a driving experience that advances the brand's performance legacy with a balance of racetrack-honed control and uncompromising refinement.

A strong body structure is the backbone for the Cadillac ATS's driving experience. That comes from an optimal suspension geometry and advanced damping control - and the ATS packs both."

At the rear of the ATS is the first five-link independent suspension in a Cadillac. As with the front suspension, the five-link design creates virtual pivot points that the ATS's engineers used for geometry optimization.

"Using an aluminum cradle would have reduced the ATS's overall weight, but we found a few extra pounds at the rear suspension helped get the front/rear weight balance closer to the optimal 50-50 ratio," said David Masch, ATS chief engineer.

Seventeen-inch (17x8-inch) wheels used with 225/40-series tires are standard and 18x8-inch wheels and 255/35-series rubber are offered on the Cadillac ATS, with run-flat tires. Models with the FE3 suspension feature 18x9-inch rear wheels.

MRC, electric power steering and other advanced control

systems
Supporting the ATS's new suspension designs are advanced damping, steering and braking systems, including Magnetic Ride Control.

All Cadillac ATS models come with a premium electric, variable-assist power steering gear from ZF Steering Systems.
