2012 Chevrolet Camaro COPO

2012 Chevrolet Camaro COPO
The Chevrolet COPO Camaro is a purpose built vehicle meant for one thing:

Meant for the NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes, the COPO Camaro will be the fastest Camaro built to date. The COPO Camaro is designed to meet NHRA specifications with a solid axle and full chrome moly roll cage.

This drag raced focused car will not even be street legal, making it even more niche.

Technical Specifications
From it's engine the Zonda R borrows the basic architecture including an ingenious dry sump allowing a low centre of gravity.

This self-supporting engine with 750 hp at 8000 rpm and 710 Nm of torque carries a lightweight carbon fibre highperformance intake system, a racing multiple disc sintered clutch and Formula 1 style exhaust system, hydroformed in Inconel 625 and ceramic coated for optimal heat dissipation. The power unit combined with a 6 speed transversal manual sequential synchronised gearbox is designed to satisfy the most ambitious drivers.

The central carbon chassis will incorporate a roll cage and a rubber racing fuel tank with 4 fuel pumps and quick refuel filler like on GT race cars.

Bodywork and aerodynamics
The new bodywork has been honed to offer elevated downforce even in low speed corners. The car displays and logs information about the amount of dowforce that the car is generating at each moment.

Stroke 80,20 mm
Bore 89,00 mm
Horse Power 750
Power output 551 KW at 7.500 1/min
Torque output 710 Nm
Aspiration Single throttle bodies, mechanically operated
Lubrification Dry sump with separate oil tank
Deliveries of the COPO Camaro will start in early summer.

Key specs of the drag racers are below:
The 69 cars to be built matches the number of 1969 ZL-1 COPO Camaros originally built.

Engine assembly at GM’s Performance Build Center, where the buyer can opt to participate in the engine assembly similar to Chevrolet’s Corvette Engine Build Experience and the Chevrolet Performance Build Your Own Crate Engine programs.

Engines pairing with a Powerglide automatic transmission designed for drag racing.

A COPO graphics package similar to the one introduced on the concept vehicle available in Metallic White, Semi-Gloss Black, Inferno Orange Metallic and Chevy Racing Blue

2013 Rolls-Royce Phantom

2013 Rolls-Royce Phantom
To be known as the 2013 Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II, the sedan, coupe, and drophead coupe models have received modifications to their styling, drivetrains, connectivity features, and other luxury accoutrements.

"These cars are timeless in their appeal," said Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös, "but technology moves rapidly and we cannot afford to stand still."

Starting from the front, the Phantom Series II features a subtly restyled front end. As before, the full
2013 Rolls-Royce Phantom range includes the sedan (or "saloon" as the company terms it), the extended-wheelbase sedan, the Drophead Coupe, and the Coupe.

From launch, the Rolls-Royce Phantom proved itself a worthy recipient of the famous Spirit of Ecstasy figurine. From Pantheon grille to long rear overhang, the design was clearly a Rolls-Royce.

New Phantom variants were added, starting with Phantom Extended Wheelbase in 2005. In 2007, Phantom Drophead Coupé revealed the ultimate in luxurious open-top motoring, while Phantom Coupé, Rolls-Royce's sophisticated grand tourer, joined the family in 2008.

A new world - Phantom Series II in summary
Rolls-Royce Phantom's striking and modern front end best encapsulates the essence of changes that lie beneath, with re-styled bumpers and rectangular light apertures that frame full-LED light clusters. Phantom's already sublime drive-train has also been enhanced. Front, rear and top-view camera systems, further augment Phantom's ease of use particularly when driving in tight urban environments.

Design
Ian Cameron - Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Director of Design
Like a piece of inspirational music, the Rolls-Royce Phantom continues to delight an audience.

Nearly ten years from launch, the design team responsible for creating a modern masterpiece remain at Rolls-Royce. The signature is an elegant and dramatic bar, capturing the simple elegance of a continuously lit element, a feature complementing Rolls-Royce tail light design.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupé and Drophead Coupé now come with a single piece grille surround, presenting a smoother, more contemporary front end that arch into sculpted front wings, while Phantom saloon features a new rear bumper incorporating a polished stainless steel highlight.

Interior
All Rolls-Royce Phantom family cars now benefit from improved interfaces and interaction with wireless technology. For Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II the telephone cradle has been replaced by a standard fit smart phone cradle which connects directly into the car antennae. Rolls-Royce has a long history of technological firsts and is now the first car manufacturer to offer full LED headlamps as standard for Phantom models. Continuously lit, an elegant bar runs through the centre forming Phantom's LED daytime running lamps.

\Engineering excellence
Originally conceived by the Rolls-Royce engineering team, an advanced aluminium spaceframe retains its position at Phantom's core, serving as the foundation for the car's extraordinary driving prowess. Precision might also be the best word to describe the manner in which Phantom drivers place their cars through corners.

Complementing Phantom's reassuring safety features are changes to front door side pockets.

Drive-train and suspension
Rolls-Royce Phantom's power reserve gauge is another of those trademark Rolls-Royce design cues that always raises a smile. For Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II, Rolls-Royce has improved the drive-train by incorporating a new 8-speed auto ZF-gearbox for all variants. It takes 60 pairs of hands and more than 450 hours to design, construct and craft each Rolls-Royce motor car. At the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood there are around 1,000 employees, including craftspeople working in wood and leather shops, making the world's finest cars.

Leather
Only the finest hand-selected hides from Alpine bulls are used by
Rolls-Royce. Perhaps one of the most delightful and popular of Rolls-Royce bespoke features is the starlight headliner, which integrates more than 1,600 tiny fibre optic lights which are hand-woven into the leather roof lining to create a beautiful starry sky within a Rolls-Royce Phantom Saloon or Phantom Coupé.

2013 Ford Kuga

2013 Ford Kuga
"Innovative technologies like the hands-free automatic tailgate clearly set new Kuga apart from its competitors," said Ford of Europe's chairman and CEO, Stephen Odell.

Ford's advanced voice control, device integration and connectivity interface SYNC will also be available from launch.

Engines available from launch include 140PS and 163PS versions of Ford's popular 2.0-litre TDCi diesel engine, with Ford Powershift automatic gearbox an option.

Ford Kuga will also offer the 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, already available in Ford Focus and C-MAX and impressing with its strong torque delivery and high fuel efficiency.

The
Ford Kuga aligns with the One Ford strategy as a global vehicle, on sale worldwide, including North America, where it is badged Escape.

The vehicle is being launched with a 2.0-liter TDCi diesel unit that comes in two versions, offering 140 or 163 hp. The unit sends its power to the road using an updated all-wheel drive system, which is assisted by a Torque Vectoring Control system.

In the tech department, the Kuga offers a SYNC connectivity system, active park assist and a blind spot information system.

To handle rugged terrain, there's an improved all-wheel drive system which accesses conditions "20 times faster than it takes to blink an eye."
