Over the past decade, the Nissan Altima has been one of our most popular midsize sedan. The reasons are many, but especially the Altima has a lot of practice with driving pleasure "that is often lacking in this segment of vehicles provided. However, the current generation has already quite old in comparison with the costs of Hyundai models, Toyota and Volkswagen. As such, the 2013 Nissan Altima will be completely renovated, with updates scheduled for style, performance and fuel economy.
The new Altima would be a little sharper still, enough to transmit the dynamic sweep of rivals Hyundai and Kia, without alienating loyal buyers. Nissan probably get a little more performance "of the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder, which currently produces 175 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. Given the trends Altima sport, we expect four-cylinder with manual six-speed. The 3.5-liter V6 is probably still intact, it is already one of the highest in its class.
More importantly, we expect to achieve Nissan, a couple of mpg highway for the Altima extraction based limousine or exceed above others. Development of an additional engine for the four-cylinder engine - possibly direct - and a more efficient transmission CVT, the Altima mpg rating base should take at least once with the Camry 2012 Toyota, which is estimated at 35 mpg highway.
Currently there are no words, if Nissan Altima Coupe will offer next-generation cars. And while the Altima Hybrid was discontinued at the end of the 2011 model year, we would not see again the rule in 2014, this time (with the current Altima Hybrid Toyota) with its own hybrid system and, more importantly, 50 - state of readiness.
Expect the 2013 Nissan Altima from the fall of 2012. Come back later for more news and driving impressions as they become available.
