2012 Lexus IS 250
The 2012 Lexus IS 250 sedan is virtually identical to the IS 350 sedan--at least until you start the engine.
The 2012 IS sedans are right in the heart of the compact sport-sedan genre--so roughly the same size as the BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Audi A4. The design is aggressive, though a bit conservative, and even though the interior design is looking a little dated, the cabin appointments are top-notch.
It maintains the conservative styling and aims to offer both sporty and luxury features.
The small engine delivers 204 horsepower at 6,400 rpm along with torque of 185 pound-feet at 4,800 rpm.The lower end model of the IS250 comes with a six-speed manual transmission that drives the rear wheels. Others being Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), electronics stability system, which are all integrated into the unique Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) system of the Lexus IS.

2013 Lexus GS 450h
With a five vehicle hybrid line-up, Lexus reinforces its commitment to hybrid technology with the all-new 2013 Lexus GS 450h.
Today, the Lexus GS 450h is the world's first premium performance sedan to be equipped with a V6 Atkinson cycle gas engine and two-motor hybrid system, in a front engine rear-wheel drive vehicle.
The hybrid version of the 2013 GS 350 incorporates improvements to its hybrid powertrain and is equipped with a second generation Lexus Hybrid Drive system.
Lexus GS 450h engineers have aimed for reductions in fuel consumption and emissions, while providing exhilarating performance.
With a total system power output of 338 hp, the Lexus GS 450h will accelerate effortlessly from 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds. The new GS hybrid also features a Drive Mode selector.
That means we could be seeing a combined gas mileage of around 30 mpg for the 2013 Lexus GS 450h, which, while still impressive, fails to beat the efficiency of many diesel rivals sold overseas.
As a result, Lexus is now reportedly developing a ‘downsized’ hybrid system for the GS, which will allow it to compete with more fuel efficient diesel models. The Lexus exec also reiterated the automaker’s stance of backing hybrid technology rather than diesel when it comes to economy.
The fact that Lexus wants to boost the appeal of its 2013 Lexus GS luxury sedan is no secret.
In Autocar’s words, the GS “would offer the M5 a genuine rival for both performance and dynamic ability given the driver-focused developments in the all-new GS’s chassis.”
According to an earlier report, the LFA’s 552-horsepower V-10 would indeed fit in the GS engine compartment, but there’s no clear indication as to how much the 10-cylinder would be detuned for sedan duty.
It’s harder to pin down the handling and “feel” parts of a car without seat time, but early impressions of the base GS appear to be favorable (stay tuned for our First Drive of the new 2013 GS lineup this Friday).

2013 Lexus GS 350,Reviews
Toyota has released a teaser photo of the redesigned 2013 Lexus GS 350 sedan ahead of the car's official unveiling August 18 at Pebble Beach.
The four-passenger rear-drive LF-Gh sedan was built on the same 112.2-inch wheelbase as the 2011 Lexus GS, measuring just 2.5 inches longer, at 192.5 inches overall.
The new, fourth-generation 2013 Lexus GS will be officially revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on Aug. 18, but we got to spend some time behind the wheel of two pre-production and heavily camouflaged prototypes on a handling course as well on the Azusa Canyon Road in California.
From a driving dynamics standpoint, the new 2013 Lexus GS 350 marks a substantial improvement over the current car. Overall, the new car is now a sure-footed and extremely competent performer that does not mind being driven hard, unlike the previous car. One of the two prototypes I got to drive was equipped with the available Dynamic Handling System as well as the Dynamic Rear Steering.
We can’t tell you much about the styling because the car was entirely covered up, but we were told that it would feature many elements seen on the Lexus LF-Gh concept car revealed at this year’s New York Auto Show, including what 2013 Lexus GS 350 designers call an “aggressive and bold spindle-shaped front grille” accented by LED lighting both front and rear.
